Yard 31 Female desexed Pitbull Approx 4 Years

    (IMAGE: http://i363.photobucket.com/albums/o...20Dogs/Y31.jpg)

Handed in because of a change in family circumstances.Hand in sheet says not dominant in nature. Good with cats, kids, dogs. Likes to play ball or tug. received puppy school training. Loves water. Jumped a one metre wooden fence once when replaced with 1.5m fence she was fine.

In the cage Jessie she was calm and quiet. In the stand and ignore she had a wander and then checked in. In the withdrawal of affection she was excitable but she calms quickly she then focused on other yard. Jessie was happy to be handled. In the guide and place she allowed the sit but resisted the drop, she was quite resistant throughout this test. In the stranger danger she was soft and gentle and initiated gentle contact with stranger. In the kid test she was more interested in the tester. She gets excitable quite quickly. In the dog to dog she was friendly and wanted to play with Pudge. With Yard 17 she sniffed and then moved away, Jessie tends to get excitable very quickly but will settle quickly also. She was uncomfortable with head collar. With correction on the chain she is responsive but she would need a strong leader as she can be a little stubborn. She knows sit and was easy to motivate with treats and has a gentle mouth . A lovely girl that would suit a home with older kids. Also an owner with some bull breed experience. A pretty lady.

It might be helpful if you say where she is.

    INTERESTED RIGHT HERE!!
Im in Victoria, but I regurly visit my grandma in Queenbeyan, Canberra.

Now I am no longer living with mum, but being only 21, she still pays for a few things, which means I still do need permission to get a third dog. But I am most definately interested.
    Where abouts is DAS?

Wow, what a beautiful girl Jessie is.
So sorry I can not help.
I will be looking for another dog soon but am not quite ready yet....still training Paw-Sha first + Canberra is a little to far for me to collect her from. Best of luck in finding her a loveing home.

Don't forget that you need to check local and State regs before taking on a pit bull. Canberra are lucky - no restrictions.

But I think most other States have issues with them
