He's a truly stunning looking pup. There was already quite a bit of interest for him on that Facebook post.

God, just looking at the comments on the FB picture, someone asked "which one is the border collie, we would love more info" peeerfect example of someone who should not own one IMO!

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

Thankfully he will find a home easy but I agree Jadie, there are a lot of people who shouldn't own them. And I was also going to mention about her moving back to the US. I hope that wasn't the case and he wasn't left behind. Poor darling. I know speculating is bad, but it's hard not to. It would be interesting to find out how he ended up at the rescue, hopefully the fact they know his name means he was surrended in some form, and not just dumped or picked up from the pound etc

You do get that a bit on Facebook with rescue dogs. I've seen other rescue dogs posted and a few people just go "Yep, we'll take him!", based on that one picture and one line description. I can just imagine the foster carers thinking "Err... no you definitely won't!".

It makes me very sad when people are forced to give up their dog. And it then makes me extra mad at those people who surrender them for no good reason at all.

After watching Maddex grow up it's so sad to see him there.

Hopefully he finds a wonderful new home. Fingers and paws crossed for ya Maddy.......

Yep. It's heartbreaking seeing any dog in shelters but the fact that we all watched him grow up, and all know how loved he was, makes it even more heartbreaking. I hope the Great Dane is okay too.

She (candidheartbeat) did say she was working with a rescue.

She'd had some serious bad luck tho didn't go into details apart from metioning a car accident.

There were a lot of photos of the great dane puppy but not with Maddex but he stayed on her sig picture.

No idea. But given she was working in rescue - I'm sure she would have found someone to take on any surviving dogs she had and find them good homes.
