Not really related, but I was having a peek at another forum after being told they can be quite clicky and rude. Anyway, it didn't take long for me to see what they meant. After just two minutes I see a thread where two members refer to someone's dog (a rehome) as "broken"
Figured I would post it here given the topic name, it really got to me to see someone write that.

Yes I think I know the forum you mean, a lot of nasty people who think you are not entitled to an opinion and know nothing.

I think there are a lot of breeder types there, they seem unhappy about the
growing trend of "adopt don't shop".

In my opinion if a breeder doesn't have love for shelter dogs of the same breed then they are partially breeding/showing to fuel their vanity, though I've looked at many breeder's website's and a lot of them list dogs in need of re-homing, including ones they did not breed themselves. They also mention adoption as something to consider if the dog is just a companion and some even have re-homes themselves as a pet. Their the ones who truly love the breed.
    Just my opinion though...

I love the fact that any dog is valued on this forum. I looked at rescuing a husky before I got Rafeal but it was made quite clear that the few nearby didn't get on well with cats.
