    Default Dog Boots

What are peoples views on those dog bootie things.

I swore i'd never turn my dogs into those paris hilton, tutu & bow wearing dogs and so i'm a little funny about perhaps buying Molly some booties.

It's getting damp up in the sunny state and M's feet turn pink on our early morning & evening walks, and they get worse at obedience (performed on grass from 8-9pm . I'm looking at way's to prevent the pink coming up and if anybody else can suggest something other than the boots i'd be glad to try.

During the summer she is groomed every 4 weeks and i leave her feet (they're one of her greatest attributes her big polar bear feet!) During winter i groom her every 8-10 weeks and the next time we head in (in two weeks time) i'm going to shave her feet & start all over again, but even with the trim the pink stays around. She chews her feet to sleep also which doesn't help (it's either her feet or my friggin duvet) either.

I'm embarrassed to walk my dog in boots & be labeled as 'that type of owner' but i don't want my dog walking around with an ugly looking bacterial infection either! I'll try and take a photo of her feet in the morning to post.

I've been looking at these on Ebay DOG BOOTS Water Repellant Protective Pet Shoes Booties Winter Cold Weather Hot | eBay

Lol I was looking at boots the other day! I don't think my two would leave them on though, Bella would destroy them the first chance she got

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

I was thinking the exact same thing Jadie, M has a huge sock fetish so i'm thinking she might just think these are new toys. I wouldn't keep them on her around home though because that'll be when she has time to shred them, but just for walks & at obedience - obedience mainly because that's when her feet get really bad, but in saying that the boots could put her off her game altogether as she doesn't even like wearing her raincoat whilst training.

OM - my OH has a problem walking Molly with her pink harness on, so not sure how the boots will go down, haha

If i can get any other alternatives i would gladly try as i want the boots to be a last resort - cause even i have a problem walking a friggin dog with boots on! but if they work, then i just gotta roll with it!

I always said I would never have clothes for Pippi, but she has a small collection, like 6 jackets LOL. But it's only because she gets cold, she only has a single coat and as soon as it starts cooling, she has to have that extra layer - so bad that at night, I am already thinking of bringing her jackets out (she hates them though). Admitedly, none of the jackets are pretty or cute, or have skirts or hoodies. They are purely just warm ones.

However, I draw the line at booties LOL But you go hard, post us some pics of ya dorky dog LOL.

I had a bit of a chuckle when you said your OH doesnt like walking Molly with her pink harness. Pippi has a pink harness and a pink lead, and my OH doesnt care about that, he just doesnt like walking her at all. Says it makes him feel a bit poofy LOL. He will take them both though coz apparently that makes it obvious the big dog is his, and he is just walking the Mrs' dog at the same time LMAO

Lala, M has a total of 4 coats all up - but they are plain, non pretty looking ones so i don't draw any attention and they are just to keep her from getting dirty at training (cause she takes like 2 hours to wash & blow dry and that is the last thing i want to do when we finish class 9pm at night!) I will admit she has one baby pink one but that one is for the house only lol.

Nobody else has dog booties at training either so i bet my little fluff ball sitting next to her german shepherd & rotty buddies with booties on, we will be the butt of all jokes.

I just bought her a brand spanking new purple harness lol (well OH did cause i used his credit card) he told me black only & if i buy these booties (and i will not be running them by him haha) it'll drive him batty.

To me, coats are fine in winter for dogs that feel the cold but anything else is really over the top. They are DOGS!
