Thought I post something positive... We went to the beach today and Ziggy was running without lead for the first time since the surgery and was even playing with other dogs and it is all fine I am soooo happy and she is too. She was only off lead for 10 min but she is exhausted now and sleeping (I guess all the excitment) I have her back to twice 1 hour walks daily and will increase the running over the next week so that hopefully next weekend we are back to normal! Fingers crossed

Oh guys, we have to start again... Ziggy was limping this morning..... I had an apointment at the vet this morning (what a coincidience) and now she is back on anti-inflammatories and restricted exercise... She was doing so well. I let her chase the ball a bit Monday and Tuesday morning to get her used to the fast running again but that was to much.... It is soooo frustrating

If the aches & pains are from sore muscles, can I suggest you try Arnica Tabs. I give all my "girls" a dose both Morning & Night on Sat & Sun to fix any of those aches, pains, bumps & bruises that they might have picked up during the week. Oh ... and I use it on myself as well.

Poor Ziggy! Lots of hugs from us!

Second GSDs4ever with the arnica tablets. I use the cream for bruises myself after someone suggested it to me last year after i got a black eye (tip- dont stand/crouch at the bottom of the A frame as your dog is coming over it!)and works really well at healing them quickly. And hear of so many people who use arnica for a range or reasons. Worth a shot. Actually.... think I will be popping into the health food shop on the way home to get the tablet form to give to Leo for his Toe Thanks for the reminder/memory jog GSD's!

Mish is nearly 12 & it's helped her heaps since I started her on it. She's not a very good patient & used to get really snappy & growly if she was in pain. I was 10 foot up a ladder in the sitting room & the young 'uns came barging through, knocked the ladder & I fell straight onto hard slate flooring. Normally an injury like that would take weeks to heal. I take the tabs & was stunned at how quickly the pain & bruising dissapated. Maybe 3 or 4 days, tops !! If you're near a Chemist Warehouse, it's the cheapest place to get them. My local store is also selling Heartguard now at $7 cheaper than my vets !! When you've got 3 dogs, that's a BIG saving !!
