Oh f**k... I am feeling really down at the moment. It's been 6 weeks after Ziggy's surgery and we went to the vet for a check up yesterday. Everything is fine apart from a cklicking noise in both her ellbows but the vet says not to worry about that. He also gave the ok to increase her exercise again so that in 2 weeks time she is on her old exercise level.... So we went to the park this morning for a walk. It was longer than we wanted because Ziggy was pulling like a maniac and it took some time to control her. She also did a bit of running and when we met one of her doggy friends she also jumped... Well, now I went home lunch time to check on her and Ziggy is limping again Called the vet and now have to pick up some pain killers and anti-inflammatory stuff for her, no exercise for at least a weak and so on.... Poor Ziggy, and all because we were so stupid to not keep her on a shorter leash....

    Ohhh! That's not good!
    Don't blame yourself Hippo,
It still could have happened on a shorter lead, I think that this is pretty common after surgery, they feel better, deprived of exercise and think they can do it all.
I hope that the meds take care of the inflamation and that Zig will be able to return to gentle exercise really soon.
    Chin up ok?

    I know it's hard.
Please don't be too hard on yourselves. You guys love Ziggy heaps and are the best doggy parents....She's a very lucky girl. It it's just a step backwards for now but I'm sure she'll be ok soon.

Sending you guys lots of hugs. Sorry to hear Ziggys down again I feel for you guys, it must be so hard, I know Leo would be the same, just wanting to get straight back out there running and jumping with his buddies. Hope Ziggy feels better soon. Loved the pics BTW

Thanks guys I am feeling better today. The drugs kicked in and Ziggy isn't limping anymore. We wait one more week and then we will start again, much slower this time though....
