    Default Regular Check-ups?

Hey everyone, just wondering if members here take their dog in for regular check ups? And if you do every how often?

    No.

I would think that if anyone did take their dog for a regular check-up however, it would be every 12 months in line with the most common vacciantion protocol?

Thats what im doing at the moment, but was thinking of doing it 6 monthly. Always cheaper to prevent something occuring then trying to treat it.

Thats a good idea. We take our dogs as soon as it looks like they aren't themselves, or if they start showing signs of being sick. We need to take Saxon and Oscar to the Vet for a check up though, they both haven't been for a long time. Even though Saxon is my stepbrothers dog, and Oscar is my brothers, somehow, they never end up doing anything for them, so it's me who ends up feeding, washing, brushing, walking and paying for the vet bells. But it doesn't bother me, Saxon and Oscar love me the most now

Usually every 12 months, unless they're not themselves
More often when they're pups and
more often in (6mths) in senior years

Mine go once a year unless something happens.
The more people I meet, the more I like my dogs.

    Hi,

I take mine twice a year. I have their booster C3 vaccs done seperately and they have a checkup when thats due and then when they go in to get their heartworm booster vacc in dec they have another checkup.

But seeing as my two are accident prone, I am at the vet monthly. If its not the dogs, its the cats. LOL.

once a year for the malamute, and Zeus has a vet come out and check him over every 3 months. part of the service his previous owners signed him up for.

having said that. they have only found 1 problem so far... that he got fat after our old Mal died.

he's back to his healthy weight now tho.
