Default You Dog and Your New Baby

I've just posted an on-line resource on bringing a new baby into a house with a dog.
I have tried to make it the most comprehensive resource on the web.

    Go to my blog at:

    Pets. Safety. Education.

and click on 'Your Dog and Your New Baby'.

    Some good advice re worming.

I dont agree with the "bringing baby home" or "practice makes perfect" bits though...well I dont really disagree either but I dont think they are necessary. Too much molly coddling

I think the obedience part makes the other two obsolete really.

Lots of good advice, however I really love the "not magnetizing kids and dogs" I think it takes it to a whole different level especially when baby at crawling age. Sorry just my opinion.

For those of us with friendly, well adjusted dogs we can't see any benefit to any of these these. But recently I went to a home where the two border collies watched the kids intently, they couldn't even ride their trikes without the dogs preparing to nip them. It was scary to watch.
