Thread: Bacon Bones

    Default Bacon Bones

I was given a couple of bacon bones from a lady who visits her mum at my work (nursing home) they are about the size of my hand. I was wondering if they are safe for my rotties to eat as I've never used these. I no cooked bones are a no no but these don't look much different from the dried bones and that at the petshops. I didn't want to hurt the ladies feelings so I accepted them does anyone know how safe they are

I would never feed pork anything, just my opinion.

Make a nice pea and ham soup out of them!

I hate those smoked bones things they sell in pet shops. My lot had them shattered into sharp shards so fast. Only bought them once, yelled Oh Sh^t and went scrabbling amongst 3 dogs to get the shards before they swallowed them.
I too would make a pea and ham soup.

I won't touch the smoked bones form pet-shops and the bacon bones are no different. For me it is only RAW bones of any kind

And that would be a no from me too.

They have too much salt and the bone is too brittle. Nice pea and ham soup.

Thanks guys I'll throw them out. Not making a soup with them lol. This lady had them in her back seat. Not sure who has touched them or why she didn't make soup with them lol
