    Default Dog Pregnancy Problem

    I have a 4 year old mix dachshund. When she got first pregnant, two of her puppies died and only 1 survived. Now i think shes pregnant again, what i can do to prevent it from happening? She is a very active dog.

    The only effective way is to desex her, you can do it now if she's only recently been in season...

    Yes, get her desexed. They can do this early in a pregnancy.

    I thought the same - and activity of the dog has nothing to with getting pregnant, wasnt sure what that meant. My dogs are highly active but they are also desexed.

    Hmmmmmmmmm.

    Desex your dog. Simple.
    A pessimist sees the glass as half empty;
    An optimist sees the glass as half full;
    A realist just finishes the damn thing and refills it.
