    Default Injured Leg

Milo jumped up and landed on his right hind leg, then it tucked under his left hind leg and gave a big yelp (first ever pain yelp). His right hind leg was raised and he was limping, then I flipped him on his back and did a comparison feel with both his legs. There doesn't seem to be any mispositioned bones, and since... he just got desexed, there doesn't appear to have any red swellings on his hip area where it's shaved. I want to put ice on it just in case but I don't know exactly where on his leg was injured.

This happened about 30 mins ago. He's not limping now and is able to do his crazy sprints before pooing as usual. My dad says he's running on 3 legs, where as, I see him running on 4. Any suggestions on how to be sure he's fine?

Keep a watch. Mine often have a yelp and limp a bit after rough play. Mostly is is slight muscle trauma which resolves itself with some separation and quiet time. If you feel it could be more than this then see your vet.

Keeping a close eye on him now. Even if I want him to calm down and rest ... He still jumps around and runs around madly. He doesn't show any signs of pain now, but this is the first time he's ever yelped in pain. Other times when I'm sure he would've been hurt, he doesn't yelp.
