We've done super market food, vet food, home made dog food and raw.

We are currently on a bit of a mixture.

we use eaglepac kibble, and he gets an egg a week, a tin of sardines a week, some fresh meat a couple of days a week, some barf patties now and then, and lots of meaty bones.
My opinion of science diet is very low- a big money spinner for vets.

My two sharpei get fed optimum kibble and natures gift tins.

When i got my first sharpei as a puppy his breeder told me his coat will turn to rubbish if i feed him anything but eagle pack kibble + raw meat.. Funny, he looked like utter crap off that, lost his fur, got so many skin problems it wasn't funny and lost a lot of weight.

I changed him to a cheaper food and he looks gorgeous and hasnt had one issue with his skin..I honestly think premium food is a load of crap. I will personally never go near it again

I feed Uncle Alber's primarily with bones / vegies / egg etc in addition. Never seen Mack's coat so shiny as it in in the last month of feeding this.
He was on Home Brand from the breeder and i slowly moved him up to pedigree and then to Supercoat. He eats MUCH less Uncle Alber's than he did the other foods. The difference is a cup and a half a day. It sure adds up when your dog weighs 40kgs!

I feed mostly RAW - bones, offal, meat. I do this because I think it's food 'as nature intended' - it seems natural and so far so good.

My dogs get dry food as treats and 'dog treats' as treats. Because I'm actually vegetarian and I find handling mince etc gross on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, I won a really big bag of dry food at a show and I'm trying to not let it go bad. I don't think good quality dry food is a sin, but I don't think it's as good as RAW food. It's cooked meats, afterall. However, it is perhaps 'safe' because everything is all calculated for you. So my dogs have been getting a bit more dry of late because I want to free up room in my pantry!

Milo's only 6 months old, but so far I feed him Advanced PuppyPlus because that's what the breeder was feeding him and the vet said I don't need to change it since he's healthy on his current diet. He had a period when he didn't eat his kibble, so from then on, I now add extra stuff in his kibble like chicken soup and boiled chicken or pork (he won't immediately eat his meal if it's just kibble but will finish it when we're not home). I alternate in adding a canned tuna in springwater or an egg every week because... I was suggested by some people on this forum lol.

I alternate half a chicken carcass and a Pedigree denta stix shoved in a kong every day to make sure he's cleaning his teeth.

I give Boss Eucanuba. Is that good??? I also give him meaty bones (beef or lamb) 3 or 4 times a week and on the other days he gets chicken necks, a marrow bone, chicken wings, pigs or lambs ear. (to mix it up)

I personally prefer Supercoat to Eukanuba, it's around the same price (might even be a bit cheaper) and it's better quality.
Mine all get Supercoat to graze on for breakfast.

I feed our Staffy Science Diet, mixed with cooked meat........ he also eats RAW
    Beef and Roo......

what a fussy dog??????????? lately Makdog has been grabbing his bowl with his teeth,
picking it up and throwing the contents all over the ground...

Makdog has about 4 bones a week, Marrow bones.... sometimes chicken necks.

we feed him chicken because he just loves it... its cooked for him in some water in the microwave.
When I do cook the red meat... I don't cook it a lot... it's still red on the inside, but we find he enjoys the cooked food in this cold weather.
