I feed my lot a raw egg with their food once a week or so. Been doing it for ages. No negatives here!

Raw egg whites are very bad for dogs.

The yolk is good for them but you need to separate the whites out.

Egg white when it is raw blocks the absorbtion of biotin... when they are cooked however they are fine.

Basically, giving your dogs scrambled eggs (done in microwave, not cooked with butter or oil) is much better for them than a raw egg.

I mostly don't feed raw egg.

Sometimes I let the dog lick the bowl I use to make egg and cheese mix for carbonara - cos it's easier to wash up if the bowl is licked clean. Um.

But apart from that, I don't give her eggs.

We do feed egg yellow and our dogs steal raw eggs from the batches they find, no control there. But i do agree that you shouldn't feed raw egg white, as Crested Love said

oh wow, ok thanks... he has had 2 raw eggs in the past 2 weeks since ive owned him... think il just give the yolk instead, or cook the egg and give him the whole thing.
    thanks guys!

Mine get a whole raw egg every now and again, shell and everything.

Didn't know about the white. Wild dogs would scavenge eggs and eat the whole thing so I just assumed that would mean it would be OK for domestics too

I feed raw eggs, too. Though mine don't get shell, they get yolk and white.

I have previously heard about whites being bad for dogs, but then when asked, Dr Bruce Symes (Vets All Natural guy) thought feeding whites was was all ok.

So, really, don't know the actual answer, but have not had any issues with my pups and raw eggs....
