    Default Benadryl

    Hello everyone,

I have understood that Benadryl can be used for kennel cough and allergy reaction and it is a must have as an emergency medicine for dogs.

    Then...

Can someone share experiences using this medication? (What did you use for and how much you feed to your dog etc.) With my research, in the states Benadryl comes in tablet...but can we obtain Benadryl tablets in Australia?

I thought it was a liquid of mostly alcohol. Eg cough syrup.

I have occasionally given my dog honey when she seems to have a sore throat. She's never had anything that seems like kennel cough though.

We give it to the dogs at the shelter if they have a mild case.
The dose was less than human, we had a chart with dose rates.

Active Manuka Honey is the best, the higher the better.
Also good for slow to heal hotspots, throat, and slow to heal or large wounds. Expensive but the results are amazing.
