    Hi,

I use comfortis for my dogs since early this year and love it. I used to use sentinel + capstar/frontline plus but did not work very well for my boys. I also heard comfortis has bad side effects but did not happen to my boys, but they seem to less active on the day when Cs given. I am sure you know that some breeds can not have Comfortis either.

I also use Permoxin as prevention.
I love cooking but I love eating even more.

Ivormectin or what ever ingredient that has, can cause bad reactions in some border collies. There are definitely breed sensititivities with certain anti-flea products, and there is some flea resistance to some of them.

Our girl had always had flea problems until we started using Comfortis. She hasn't had any side effects either. They're a bit pricey but if you shop around you can find it cheaper.

How do you get your dog to take Comfortis? It is described as a 'chewable' tablet which it is not, and it is the size of a 20c piece. If I crush it into the dog's food she won't touch it as it has a 'chemical' odour. Even burying it in her beloved 'Roo meat won't get her to eat it!

If the chewable tablet was like the heartworm tablets it would be alright. Great product, but the dog won't eat it!!

I give mine the same way a vet does. just stick your fingers in the mouth and place it in the back of the throat. works every time for me.
