But, hey, please don't feel guilty as most of us wouldn't probably vaccinate such old dog that gets out only occasionally. It was just probably her time to go one way or another. Think about those wonderful 15 years you had together.

Just as a precaution, do not get another dog any time soon as parvo virus is extremely contageous and lingers around for long time. Disinfect your house thoroughly with bleach or disinfectants containing bleach.

    take care
Thank you, everyone, for your kind words. I am not intending to get another dog for a long time, but will be cautious of friends bringing dogs to visit. I have washed down the front path with bleach, and various other places. Again.appreciate your thoughts and wishes. Sigh ......I miss her so much, I'm sure you all know the feeling. I actually didn't have her for the full 15 years, she came to me when she was nearly 4, matted, weighing 50% only of the weight that she should, with rotten black teeth that had to be pulled. She had lived in a box all her short life and was totally unsocialise and terrified of the outside world. I gave her a wonderful life and she repaid me by heaps. Lucky angels to have her now!

Lived in a box for four years?
She was certainly lucky to have you to give her love and care for her remaining years.
