    Give Maddy a big

I am sure you will get her to be pain free again, but it might take some time. Re the injections, they are usually given on a regular basis. Ziggy gets hers every 6 months, so that is normal.
Re the dog hydro, the only other I found near Melbourne was on the Mornington Peninsula, so even further away... Sorry...

    Update -
Madelines getting her hips xrayed today, while the injections and tablets (she hurt her knee last week and had to do another round) have made her feel better. It hasn't helped with her extention of her back legs.

Hopefully now we'll know whats going on.

    results are back.

She has problem with her spine (i'll find out exactly what when I get home and grill my oh)
It's something she was born with and there's nothing they can do.
We've been given pain killers that we can give her if she's having a really bad day.

I know things could be alot worse but it's still hard knowing it's not something we can fix.

    Oh Bordeaux

At least you know what she has and even so it is not fixable, you will be able to manage it!

Big, big hugs to both of you

    Bit more info.

She has Canine Spondylosis. Aparently any breed can get it but it's common in gsd (the sites I was looking are american so I dont know if it's common here)
I'm still looking into it but basically bone spurs form around interverterbral discs restricting movement and causing pain.
It is degenerative but with managment there's no reason she cant live a long life.
