That sounds scary. I hope the tests don't show anything serious and you can treat whatever is wrong.

    Oh Amanda im really sorry

As Dorte said, symptoms are usually seen a lot earlier. Other causes for seizures are allergies, low blood sugar liver/kidney(I think kidney) disease or a tumour, I think these are more likely considering they've only been happening fairly recently.

Whatever the case, I wish all the best for you, your OH and Bella

So sorry to hear about what is happening with Bella It is so scary when they have fits, nothing you can do but sit there and wait for it to be finished.
Be careful if you take her for walks though - my dog once had a fit on the road.
I hope she will be ok and hopefully her problem is one that is manageable.

Bella and I spent most of the afternoon at the vet today. She has now developed the strangest BIG bruises on her chest, really odd.

Anyway, full blood count came back all normal (we have a history of blood counts to go on here from being on the epilepsy medication, so that was good). Also a super thorough exam (twice over) proved nothing conclusive but the vet agrees that there is certainly something neurological going on. So we had to make a choice as to whether to give her an antipsychotic injection or whether to stick her back on the epilepsy meds. We chose the later because of the possible side effects of the antipsychotic which include diabeties and cysts.

So I came home and rang the lab that is going to perform the L-2H test to check that I could re-start her on her meds given she would have her urine test in the next few days and they said that would be fine as the meds (obviously) won't change her DNA (durrrrr I felt like a dill for asking something so obvious).

Anyway one step forward and two steps backward.
