I don't chuck sickies often but I think you need a "mental health day" to take Lady to a vet who does have time to see her.

I've got this nasty feeling that your boss won't check properly...

why be a vet if you don't have compassion for every animal..

I really hope your boss changes their mind, if not then I agree with Hy...take the day off and get her seen.

Also happy to recommend a great vet in Frankston if that helps!

Don't worry guys, im not short of a vet. But thanks anyway I can think of about 5 off the top of my head on the Peninsula. As I said, I have a good vet(not my work), but I don't have time to take her at the moment. A mental health day sounds good though!
I was fairly pissed off though. Im just gonna bring her in everyday and put her in one of the indoor cages so everyone has to look at her poor state, even if she doesn't get a check up, it will annoy him(and im sure the nurses too), having a scraggly dog in the room all week.
I weighed her and she's lost a kilo, not as bad as I originally thought, but its still a loss.
I bought a really fine comb, so I can pull them up while watching tv and then drown the buggers in the mean time.
As you may remember, I was talking of changing kibble because my beloved Pedigree is breaking my heart after 11 years of use. Roly is fine, but Lady is really struggling, and I think the food is playing a role, im just waiting for the bag to get a little lower before I start switching.
*sigh* I really want to get her happy and healthy again in time for million paws walk..

I should probly add, my boss is a good guy, and he does care a lot for animals, he does love my animals too. Except when you spend 9 hours in a consult or an operation room, 5days a week, your love of animal wellbeing really goes once you get to 5 o'clock and you can go home to your family.
Especially when he knows im kinda disloyal towards his practice...

If he cares a lot for animals and is a nice guy, he would have checked her out for you..
