Myf, the coat condition could obviously be flea allergy, but the weight loss over the past couple of months could very well be another story, as I'm sure you know.

I'm lost TBH - you will TRY and get her in for an appointment? You work for a vet. Lady does not take priority in your boss' eyes???

That was what I thought. Usually if a parasitic infection gets really bad there is an underlying cause, which is weakening them and making them susceptible.

Poor Lades. Give her a an extra hug from me.

    Thanks everyone

DA, I actually take the dogs to another vet. I feel like its better if the vet and nurses don't know me or the dog 'personally'. I don't know, I just do it that way.
I don't have any time to take her to her normal vet, im woking till late all week,(thats why i've only been getting on in the morning) so hopefully I can get a check up done for free at work, but it means paying patients come first. I can't push money away cause I work there iykwim

    Thanks again everyone

Myf, I hope Lady will be well again soon and it is only the fleas causing her problem, possibly she needs fortnightly flea treatment for a while instead of monthly.
Best of luck and hope to hear good news soon.

Oh okay, now I understand. Thanks. well, I don't understand, cause I'm the opposite, but I DO understand where you are coming from. Just a little shocked that your own boss would even charge you, or at least just charge you for cost price etc, and wouldn't stay back after work for a minute to check her over?
I guess times have changed. Sigh.

I so hope you get her in and find out what the go is quick smart Myf, she is obviously one very unwell doggy. All the best for Lady!

Ok I've pushed Leah off the desk quickly to tell what happened.

No time for her apparently, but boss said its not super urgent, and she can wait till next week (thud).

I gotta go, fill you in in the morning!

Damn and bugger, maybe you could put a few fleas down his shirt and see how urgent it is then.

Hopefully they'll have time tomorrow oops, next week I mean, and you get some answers.
