    Default Hawthorn Berries

My bf just fenced off a huge area of his yard for the dogs and I've noticed whenever we put Pedro in there he starts eating the berries off the hawthorn bushes. Have done a quick google and am pretty sure they're not poisonous. What worries me is that some sources are saying you should feed them to dogs as a sort of blood thinner, which makes me wonder can he have too many?
Supplementing your dog's diet is one thing but I think given the chance he would sit and pick them off the bush all day long (like I've seen him do with the raspberries at home!) Anyone had any experience with this?

might want to spray the bushes with taste-yuk of some sort. Or keep him out of them. Animals and humans don't always know when to stop when it comes to these sort of things. Wattle birds drunk on fermented plum windfalls are funny to watch but I bet they have short lives.

Little red berries that grow on hawthorn shrubs. Extracts are used in herbal medicine as a kind of circulation booster.
