    Default I Have Just Witnessed Something Amazing....

    Dora ate her dry food!!!
    I am so happy. I've returned from a 2.2km jog with her 20 minutes ago, and have just placed down her dry food, on it's own. I was expecting her not to eat it... but she did!!
    She ate probably ten kibble bits (a record) and then went off to play with the cat. I know that she isnt eating it cos shes starving, because she had a ncie brekkie, so Im really happy! Will see how she goes tomorow.
    I'll leave it out for her for 15 minutes, then take it away.

    Aw cool!

    Does she not like dry food at all or is it the dry food you are feeding her?

    Its not tht she doesnt like dry food. Its that she knows tht if she doesnt eat it, MUM will cave and give her something that she will eat. She has a better choice.
    With me, I think she knows that I wont cave, maybe thts why she ate it... knows that she wont get anything else.

    Lol. But this jsut demonstrated that she doesnt mind the dry food, because when I usually give it to her she just sniffs and walks away. She would only eat it after the third or fourth time its offered.
    Ive also compromised with mum... Ive said "no more caving!!' and she agreed;

    Dora looked hungry, so I just gave her more dry food. She's just ate a table spoon and a half!! I dont know whats brought on this change of appetite, but I'll ask no questions

    That's great Masha, I know your mum was fairly set on her ideas about food.

    IMO I think Dora would eat just about anything, it's just that she is REALLY full up on the other stuff your mum was offering. Don't let her get any bigger than she is now, especially on those little legs jumping of the lounge.

    Have you been leaving the back door open for her after meals?
