    Default Why Do Dogs Vomit?

Bella vomited a little while ago. It was yellow (bile?) and a tad foamy. She hadn't eaten since breakfast (she vomited just before dinner time). She's done this twice in the past - both those times was early in the morning, before breakfast. Our Tibetan Terrier used to do this quite frequently too.

    Any ideas why?

Batty will have a throw up if he's starving hungry. I'm not sure why, but if I'm more than 2 hours late for breakfast he throws up. Does the same for dinner if I haven't been home training him.

I don't think I'm much help I thought it was just the bile was overproduced because there is nothing in the stomach to digest?

I have heard that after dogs have been eating grass they will throw it up later on.

My dogs have done this before. I'm probably not much help either but this is what I heard.

A million and one reasons C&B. Running, playing hard, too much water in one go, irritation, illness, heck, could be anything.

If he is his usual self then I wouldn't worry too much. Heck, you have to all be on the plane tomorrow though, don't you?

She's fine, was a little quiet afterwards, but she ate all her dinner and she's bouncing around like her usual self, so I'm not worried!

I was just curious, because as far as I know she hasn't eaten anything (although OH did get home from work today and find a Woolworths "green" bag ripped to pieces - but I know who did that...) and our old dog used to do it too. They had been playing, so maybe it was excitement?

Or maybe she's nervous about her flight tomorrow

    Haha, sounds right!

I wouldn't fuss too much, as long as it doesn't become a daily thing, then I would be worried and off to the vets.

Perhaps you could give us a daily update?

    All the best, thanks.
