Default Comfortis - Anyone Used/using It for Fleas on Their Dogs??

Am a bit over Frontline and Advantage and the likes, they just don't seem to be doing their job, work ok for the first 2 weeks then the little mongrel fleas are back.

We spray all external areas and sleeping areas and were doing well with Advantage each month, then had a heap of rain and now the fleas are back with a vengeance!

A friend said to try Comfortis, which is a new product just out. But I was just wondering if anyone has used it and how it worked. Apparently it's supposed to last the whole month!

    Thanks

I don't know anything about it but I'll be interested in the replies too.

apparently mouseandchicken it's a chewable treatment, am watching some on ebay at the moment, about the same price as the others for a 6 pack, $60 approx. Thats for the large dogs pack as both mine weight over 35kgs so would be cheaper for small dogs.

I just don't want to buy a pack if its not going to work.

    Lets hope for some replies

I use a combination of Sentinel Spectrum and Capstar. Sentinel stops them breeding and Capstar kills the adults.

I find it works brilliantly. There are no fleas here, even after pretty severe rain & humid weather.

Sentinel also does roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, tapeworm and heartworm. I find it to be brilliant and Batty loves taking it. The tablets are chewable and beef flavoured

I'm interested in it from a tick perspective.

I don't have any problem with fleas using Advantix or Frontline Plus, we have to treat the dogs so regularly for ticks I don't think any flea can survive.

But after the rain earlier in the year the ticks have been very bad.
