Default Penny Has an Upset Tummy!

Hi Everyone - its been a while I know but a quick question for your about a vomiting dog.

Penny woke me up in the middle of the night and threw up a big clump of brown stuff...sorry gross I know! Anyway a few minutes later she did a smaller vomit followed by a couple of milky ones....yeah I know I know gross . Anyway she went outside afterwards looking for grass. She seemed ok, a little quiet, not her usually playful self, although not listless by any stretch. We went for a walk and she ate heaps of grass. Wouldnt touch her breakfast but had a little dried liver treat before I left for work.

I know dogs like humans must get upset tummy's and throw up - how long do I let her go not eating before I should take her to the vet?

    Your help is much appreciated.

Don't feed her treats for a start.

Give her today to let her tummy settle. Make sure she has access to some water and simply keep a good eye on her.

How is Penny? Hope it turned out to be nothing serious.

Mydogau thanks for asking about Penny...she is back to her old self although we had an interesting weekend. She cam good after her first bout of vomiting and got back to normal eating quite quickly but then I took her to the dog sitter on saturday who fed her some dry food, despite my asking her not to - she apparently ate quite a bit of this....you know how I know? She vomitted it all up in my lounge room through out the course of the nite.....I reckon there were 8 piles of it....never quite seen anything like....... All good now tho'

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you don't use that dog sitter again. That is not good enough IMO. I hope you discussed this episode with them? Grrr.

Glad to hear Penny is okay now, at least you managed to work out what was causing it - I'd be having a word with the dog sitter, and then find a better one!

Glad she is ok, I would be very pissed off having a sitter who did not listen to me. I would also have taken pics of the vomit and sent them asking them to help in the clean up, lol.
