    You guys are so crass.

Yes whoever asked, expressed anal gland fluid does stink to high heaven, but if you can contain it as it is released, it's nowhere as bad.

But then I love the smell of manure, so I guess my sense of smell doesn't count.

Yeah crested! i WAS cooking dinner at the time and flitting back and forth. Worst part of it is my kitchen has a timber lined ceiling. I kept looking at it after reading your post!

My whole house had timber panels! I'm gradually getting around to painting over them, but I'll never look at them the same way again.

I have done the glands from the outside, but never the way a vet would - sorry but I will gladly pay someone else to do it! Touch wood (taps head) I've never had this kind of problem with my dogs.

    Lol@Grey's.

I was a sick child I think in hindsight. I used to practice animal husbandry (I say that lossely ) on my stuffed toys and dolls with bobby-pins. Or sometimes I'd inject them with ink dye and every now and again Mum would humour me and bury one in the rose garden.

You're right DA. Easy as pie.
It didn't smell as bad as I thought it would. Lady was not happy
