No, the dog's a female? Oh boy, I need to go to bed. I'm always sooo far behind the rest of you. Not fair. Whinge, whine and so forth.

Gotta admit Peiluver, that WAS funny.

I'm sorry if you think I am speaking crap, but I assure you I am not. I cannot believe that you would think someone would make something like this up....that is just sick. I really have a mentally sick dog, who has real issues and came here looking for some help. I really worry that Hollie is suffering and just wanted to know if anyone else had dealt with this kind of issue before.

Nah, the cat's dumb then too, and cats aren't dumb IMO.

Perhaps it's not the drugs they were subjected to, but the lack of everything else that an animal needs to be mentally healthy?

I think there is something wrong with my dog.. it walks on all 4's wagging it's tail and it sniffs, licks and jumps up to say high to people. I think it smokes dope.. do you think there's something wrong?

Many years ago I used to deal with an Akita whose owner usd to inject him with amphetamine. He had a terrible tendency to human and dog aggression as a result - and the long list of court matters bore witness to that. He never recovered. Once his owner was incarcerated for a decent stretch the Court finally granted a destruction order for the dog. He was a shell of a dog by then, terribly sad to see. Absolutely wrecked. Despite his terrible history of hurting people and dogs everyone was sad to see him like that...

But I suppose amphetamine is generally a more damaging chemical than THC.

The behaviours you describe could just as easily come from lifestyle and habit in a dog.

yeh the behaviours described are typical of a bored, untrained dog. The dog smoking dead Aunt is irrelevant and just told to us for an added bonus to a boring story.

    totally!!!

you could get a hit of dope and let the dog smoke it and see if its behaviour changes

I'm sorry if you think it sounds like I am making this up and that I'm lieing. Hollie does not jump up like other dogs do to say hi to people she claws them until they bleed, she does not lick people to say high she licks them for hours if not stopped. I never said she smokes dope I said her previous owner did and blew it in her face. Dogs are effected by that and if you met Hollie you would understand just how severe her problem is. I am trying to help Hollie not make her worse and I thought someone here might have had info on a dog that has suffered this before.
