I can imagine your worry and stress right now!

So, the vet has no suspicion of what it could be?

It's great that it's not parvo, but not good that they aren't sure what IS wrong with him.

Last weekend one of my client's dogs ended up at the vets on a drip with a severe case of gastro, he's home now and slowly recovering, that might also be Joey's problem?

I'm also wondering if a blockage somewhere has been ruled out?

Lots of healing thoughts heading south for Joey. xx

UP DATE: Joey is home, the vet decided he could come home as he ate some chicken that I took in this afternoon and kept it down. The vets and I think we have found the cause of his illness....he was at my grandparents house the other day and it's not as puppy proof as our place and it seems he decided to nibble on a plant (which he has never done before) my grandparents feel awful, but thats only the start apparently the vet found out that 1 of the drugs they gave him the other night made him sicker as he has an allergy to it. He seems a little better but still quite listless. Hoping he picks up quickly.

Aw Jeez, that's a relief. Hopefully he will come ahead in leaps and bounds now. It's awful when a vet or doctor gives medication only to discover the patient was allergic to it. Happens to my mother a bit. Hell for her, and frustrating for the doctors.

Keep us informed, won't you, Dogmad?

SO glad Joey is home! I'm sure he'll pick up now he's back with you, just keep his food really bland for a few days to let his poor tum have a rest. Sounds like you have a good vet there!

Poor little Joey has had a rough time Good to hear he is back home. In the environment where he knows he's loved, I am sure he will recover well. We can only hope all is well. Take care of yourself, and Joey.

I will certainly keep you updated. Right now he is happy to be back with his friends and even tried having a little walk around in the yard, which is a good sign. The vet was wonderful even though I have never seen them before.
