    Default Wasps and Dogs

Every time I go outside and feed Inca her chicken pieces and meaty bones, we seem to have a massive influx of wasps gathering around her.

If you want a laugh then picture me careening around (very UNLIKE a ballerina) trying to kill the damned wasps so she can eat in peace. Naturally, I'm also worried she may swallow a wasp and get stung etc, which could have a nasty outcome for not only Inca but my wallet.

Husband and I have searched and searched for a nest, thinking there must be one around here, to no avail.

Anyone know of any ways to get rid of wasps, besides the obvious fly-swattering...???

Sounds like a dumb question, but are wasps related to bees ? If so, then a smoke related remedy to soothe the wee creatures like bee keepers do, might assist.

Smoking does work I have had to do it - but generally you are better off finding the nest. And don't get stung - they hurt like hell!

Yeah, we've been looking and looking Cate. other times in life I've come across wasps, I've always found the nest, but this time we can't. Grrr.

So this smoking thing, how does that work GSD's? Do I just light up a smoke near them...or what???

Have you tried looking outside your yard? Don't they travel more then bees do from the nest?
