    Default Crying While Pooping

Rufus has been crying whilst pooping since I got him. Sometimes it's not so bad - sometimes it's like he is being murdered

    Vet couldn't see anything wrong

His poops are normal - solid but not rock hard

I have been trying fish in oil this week and will move on fibre as of tomorrow

Just wondering if anyone has had a dog that has experienced this?

I was going to suggest sardines in oil but you've got that covered. If it was me, I'd buy a tin of Pal and give that to him, it will make the poo softer - he may have something stuck a bit further up so to speak, the Pal might help ease it along. You should know in a few days if it works!

What was the vet looking for, and where exactly Occy?

Had a Shepherd pup go through something similar sounding once, but that's not to say it is the same thing, as you would know anyway.

He had an inflammation of the bowel that would only come to light when he was passing faeces. It took about 6 months of vets and tests before the answer was discovered however. He was on anitbiotics for a lengthy period, and he was also given an overload of flora to try and stabilise it.
Other than that, Braveheart was 100% healthy and if you didn't see him when he was defaecating you wouldn't know anything was wrong with him.

About 3 years ago I developed a similar problem, and it wasn't nice. Ooops, TMI.

On the more serious side - I had a friend who's dog did this as well, many test later, they actually found part of a chicken wing lodge into the inside of his anus.

Has he been to the vet?

Vet told me to give shads some (think it was) parafin oil when he was having problems at times.
