Shar, Bella will be vague for a while, her body will slowly adjust itself over time to cope with the dosage. Lol good on the vet for telling you off! The one tab twice a day has to be given for at least a month, preferably longer, so you can monitor for any break through seizures. If there are none (I would think for around 3 months) he may get you to cute down to 3/4 of a tablet etc until the minimum level is reached without any break throughs.

Just be prepared that as she gets older her dosage may have to be increased. Sadly you will also get to a stage where you DON'T panic when she does have a fit......

It took Marc 2 months or so to have "stabilised" on the medications he was getting, so don't worry...Bella will get more alert when her body gets used to meds

It takes time to adjust to the meds but once she does she will be back to her usual self

LOL had someone told me 3 weeks ago I could "tone down" the little brown pocket rocket, I would have said "where do I sign" But now it has happened due to the meds, I am constantly checking she is OK. So given time, I look forward to BOTH bella & I adjusting.

Beings to mind........be careful what you wish for as you may just get it!!!

Well after the 1st 36 hours on meds, Bella has managed a game with swf!! which given she has done nothing but sleep, eat and drink since Monday evening, I am pretty pleased with. I made her a new batch of BARF this afternoon with fish, turkey mince, coz lettuce, broccoli, grated sweet potato, grated granny smith apple, apple cider vinegar, honey, an egg and some yoghurt today. She seemed to fill up pretty quickly, so I removed about a 1/4 of it (she has 1 x cup a day)to give her with her tablet this evening.

OK, Bella had her meds at 10.30pm and the usual story is she settles straight down for a deep snooze. Tonight she has been talking, singing, playing kissing and generally been the exact opposite to her response this evening. Any advise or thoughts???

Maybe she's picking up on the "moving" vibes? Sounds like she's happy! She must know she's about to move to paradise.

its official..... Bella is back to her old self and has been for 24 hours now!

Chatting away consistantly, singing Grammy some beautiful songs and playing with ball, bear and Noah again. So happy to see her so happy!!! Now to stay fit-less!!
