Sydney University are going to try and remove the tumour on his larix tomorrow so that the tracheostomy tube can be removed and to buy Ralph a couple of months that he can spend with us so we can say goodbye. The only catch with doing this operation is if it compromises the cartledge in the larix. If it does, there is the posibility that he will aspirate on food or water. Hopefully the op will not compromise the larix cartledge and we can have a little time to spend with the little fellow and say goodbye. The vet has done a biopsy of the tumours and a fine needle aspiration. The biopsy results will be about five or six days, but the fine needle aspiration will be back quicker to give us a preliminary result of what type of cancer. Both my partner and myself are totally devistated.

OMG i'm so sorry to hear about gorgeous Ralph's destiny, sending him extra big cuddles.

I hope the operations & vet treatments can help extend he's life for as long as possible.

My prayers & thoughts are with you all.

    Your very welcome B...

I have been in your situation & i fully understand what your going through &your heartache.

My 1st SBT Zeppelin was only given about 1-2 hrs of life left when we discovered that he had erupted pancreatic & bowl cancer & operation would only give him about 5% survival rate. I was given the choice of pts, but couldn't bring myself to make that choice, I spent about 1hr with Zeppelin just cuddling & talking to him & he died naturally on he's own on my lap. The feeling of he's last heart beat against my chest will be with me forever.

I'll light a candle for sweet Ralph when I say my prayers tonight. I don't know if you're religious, just know I'm thinking of you and Ralph.

Thankyou Disneygotpierced. I do believe there is something in the cosmos that listens to our prayers.
