Why don't you & and your family just do a big favor for all your dogs & puppies & surrender them to the RSPCA or the pound, at least that way they will be treated for illness etc & put up for adoption to people who hopefully can afford to take care of them properly.

IMO if you cant afford vet bills then you should not have any pets what so ever.

Your family is irresponsible, 1st it's BYB breeding of dogs & now your family cant afford vet bills

oh right, I'm still getting used to the way Aussies shorten words, I have only been here a couple of years, originally from England.

Kassie if you uncle is a vet then I am sure he will have a look at your dog for you, just explain the situation to him.

If she has recently been impounded then she will have kennel cough. Kennel cough is simialar to the human cold virus and is not normally fatal.

However, the biggest issue you face is that she has puppies (if I am reading your post correctly) and the puppies are at a big risk of being seriously and possibly fatally affected by the virus.

I have treated several Pugs with kennel cough, including my own boys. Pounds are rampant with this and I have never taken a Pug from the pound yet without it already coughing or starting soon after. You can give them cough medicine as advised above but I never did. I am not sure cough supressants work even for humans, let alone dogs.

Ensure that she is given plenty of food, rest and water and watch the pups carefully.

If mum or bubs stop eating or drinking then take them to the Vet.

Come on now, Kassie. You can't afford to take your dog to a vet, so you come on here for advice? Fair enough, good thing to do.

But now you tell me that your uncle is a vet? Why wasn't your first port of call to talk to your uncle, instead of pointing out that you can't afford to take your animals to the vet.

Sorry guys, but I've had enough of this...if your parents can't afford to take an animal to the vet when it is needed, then NOPE, your family shouldn't have an animal, little own be breeding.

Come to think of it, how the hell can your family be registered breeders, and breeding dogs and cats if there is not even enough money to go to the vets? Jeez.

I have come to the conclusion that you're taking us all for a ride, and don't have the patience to deal with this crap any longer.

I also have NO DOUBT that were you not a 15 year old child with alleged learning difficulties nobody here would be so kind, polite or understanding about this latest predicament.
