Thanks guys, I am glad that it is not another surgery but arthritis was another fear of mine. But I guess it is a good thing that we discovered it that early. And from how the vet was talking about it (while looking at her x-rays) he seemed quite confident that she will be fine pain-wise. But of course we have to wait and see how the injections work (he suspects that injections every 6 months or longer apart will be fine for her).

Mimi - I know it is sooo much so young.... I hope that this is it for now.... Poor thing....

Hyacinth - Thanks for the tip. She gets glucosamine supplements

Sorry Hippo has to go through this so young.

I hope the injections do their thing and she is back to normal in no time

It is good that you have finally got a diagnosis and it can be treated. My silky x has been on Cartrophen injections for a long time and he runs around like a maniac. LOL. Fingers crossed for pain free times ahead.

We gave Amos fish oil capsules as well as the glucosamine. He also liked a piece of fresh fish sometimes.
Now you know it's arthritis you'll be able to manage it.

So sorry it wasn't better news , but then again , it could of been worse.

Give Catherine at CountryPark a call ,I had an old mare that suffered arthritis, after letting her know the whats, whys, age etc , she came up with a mix and it worked fantastic! On the very few times I would run out ( which was not often-believe me ,when they say fast service, they mean fast! ) you could honestly see the difference .
    They are fantastic and friendly

It was under herbal consultation , sorry .
Don't mind so much all that they expect of you there , still call and let them know her ongoing problems and they will still advise you on the right things to help
