Default Woohoo! - Golden Retriever with wobbly back end

I thought this needed a brand new thread because it's such great news!

Some of you may remember that almost 2 months ago my parents dog suddenly became paralysed in all 4 legs and couldn't move at all, lost all bladder control etc, they did every test imaginable and still don't know what caused it. Everyone was saying that putting her to sleep was the only option but my parents and sister persisted with her, took her home to get her spirits high, changed her bedding multiple times a day, woke up every few hours to care for her etc. It was a very long, exhausting and expensive road but look at what she started doing today!!

Up until today Roxy has only been able to take a few steps at a time and still needs a bit of help standing up from a laying down position.

Mum just sent me a text message and said that she had Roxy laying down outside, she went to check on her after about 10 mins and she wasn't there anymore. She actually stood up and walked about 40m back inside the house and onto her bed all by herself

What great news and what wonderful owners...so many others would have put her to sleep.

Fantastic news ! woohoo-dancing-banana-smiley-emoticon.gif I can't put up 'my smile on all 4 cheeks' - for obvious reasons !

Does anyone have any idea of what caused this ?
