When I had problems Cindi I asked online and found quite a lot of people who had similar issues. I think that was in the BH thread on DOL, but it's a long thread and I don't know where... Black Hawk Holistic - Australian Pure Bred Dog Forums - Dogz Online

BH have a new formula out now - fish & potato or something?

I think you will find every brand doesn't agree with some animals. I have used black hawk with no issues , it's not her main food just a small handful a day. But no issues and she seems to be sensitive to stuff.
Accidentally bought a 5 kg bag of the feline Black hawk just about finished and she hasn't she hasn't meowed yet...lol
You can only change one food at a time and see, sounds like you have had a few changes. Check for fleas, whenever I visit my sister we come back with fleas makes no difference that Mags is covered by paranormis and up to date? Just a different area and for some reason the fleas don't respond or maybe it's the cycle takes a while to kick in. It settles down for us but just a thought.

Nope....i swear by it ** FOR MY POOCHES**....others have had issues with it, just like i did with Royal Cannon.

Every dog is diffrent and finding the right food is pretty much trial and error.

If you try Eukanuba do some research on it....google somthing along the lines ofg the brand name and animal cruelty. Theres some shocking video footage online somwhere.

I'd be surprised if your dog reacted so quickly to the food but i'm no vet. Best ask them. They might try and direct you to the brand they sell so dont be sucked in by thier sales pitch.

    Good luck.

This reminded me of coming across my now husband and his mate at 18 watching my then 3 year old nephew feed their BC his bowl of Pal Meatybites. the dog was cheerfully sharing with his small mate. One for the dog one for the boy, they turned and saw me and said "didn't know whether we should interrupt him, he is having a good time"

    Hi cindistaf

    Every dog is different...

My dog is fine on black hawk... she gets itchies but it's the grass - which is really bad this time of year and her belly crawls do not help.

She got the runs on Advance chicken (adult) - ok on the puppy.

So we switched to Nutro Natural Choice chicken and rice - and that was ok. Advance and Nutro are both made in Australia under licence/owned by Mars (Mars Bars company). Nutro is supposed to have better quality ingredients. I've got no idea if that's true, only that she seems fine on the expensive one and not so much on the cheaper one.

And then we tried black hawk. Mostly feed her the lamb and rice.
