'Sean' - please rethink the operation on Friday - BIG TIME ! Mojo needs to have the infection cleared up completely before he has the operation.

Has Mojo had an injection lately ? Injection sites - particularly with the yearly injections - can cause lumps.

    to you both !

    Will do Riley J,

I'll pop in after work tomorrow and discuss what the go is if its not totally cleared up before the OP. I went in today thinking if the lump needed cutting out they might have been able to kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak while hes under but they did say they where glad to find prostate issue wasnt healed up now and not friday. If he's not cleared up i guess they postpone it....i'll ask for a urine test before the OP just to be safe.

Having the goofs in the kennels for nearly 2 weeks...who knows what mught have gone on...maybe a blue ??, maybe a insect bite ??.. to be honest its now my least of worries. I dread cancer on anyone or any pet i know...to get that 'all clear call for the big 'C' has made my year !!

Thanks for the advice and well wishes.

'Sean' - follow your vet's advice - because as I have said before he is a 'keeper' !

But - if there is still blood - then the infection has not cleared up and I really feel he really needs to go on another lot of antibiotics. There is a family of antibiotics - from the Ciprolflaxacin/Enrolfloxacin group - that are specific for this sort of problem in entire males - Prostatitis.

I would prefer to see Mojo in tiptop health before any procedure - less stress on his body !

Thanks again Riley J, I appreciate your concern.

Right now the antibiotic name escapes me but its aparrently the best for this situation (and the dearest, not that it matters). They said it was originally made for prostate issues and wont dilute in urine like some lesser ones do. The cost of it , they said, was to discourage people from actually using it to much and it becoming less effective eventually......crazy hey !?!?!?!

Overuse of all types of antibiotics is a problem not only in the dog world.

Bugs get more and more resistant - and then that leaves - what can you use ?

    Take care !

LOL...Thanks for the concern guys. My big baby is home now.

He walked out to the back pen area where Bronx cant annoy him and has just plonked on the grass and hasnt moved much for the last hour.
He only just fits in the back seat with a bucket on...

He's sore and sad...the vet said the infection has cleared up well but we will test his urine again when the stitches come out in 10 days time.

I got some funny pictures of him packing the sads.....now to just work out how to get them of my phone so i can share them with ya's.

A few days ago i went in and asked the vets about getting those false nuts,....little did i know at the time the wife was behind me shaking her head at them because she thinks it was a stupid idea. I wondered what the nurse was smirking at. Apparently her hubby asked the same thing too with thier boy
Anyway the cost was going to be crazy and they have only done it on a few show dogs ...so much to my dismay he's now knackerless...
