Had a check-up on Wednesday. Next week the stitches can come out, so we're just hanging out until then. We had to change the flanny to a cotton shirt so the wound could breath better.

I learnt something new on Wednesday night. Please forgive me, it is a bit off-topic, but it wasn't worth starting another thread about.
I took Lucky along to one of our hapkido (a martial art) classes. There's a fenced oval beside the hall we train in, and that's surrounded by trees and empty land. I let her off leash and took her for a short walk around that area, just to expel some of that pent-up energy. I think she loved the freedom. But anyway, afterwards I took her into the hall, seeing it was a small class. One of the kids there, a bit older than me, has a disability. He was trying so hard to be friends with Lucky, but whenever he came by she shied away and started shaking, scared. One of the other kids, the same age but without a disability, just walked up to her and pet her, and she didn't freak out. My Mum's friend has always said, "Trust the dog. They know things about people that we don't." She trusts her dog Neo (a huge German Shepard x Mastiff, a friendly guard dog that lives inside and adores her) so much that she doesn't like anyone that he doesn't like. Lucky could sense there was something different, something wrong about this kid at hapkido, and she didn't like it. Now I completely understand what friend Mum's meant by that.

Yes, you are very correct. Thank goodness her stitches are now out and she's free to do whatever she likes... well, now not really because she's actually at the vet fighting for her life with Immune Meditated Haemolitic Anemia (IMHA).
