    Default Rare case needs help....

Hi all, my 1year old bull mastiff cross ridgeback has been diagnosed with bow legged syndrome. The vet and specialist have advised the only option is extreme surgery and cannot guarantee her quality of life, not to mention the 9,000.00 quote for surgery! Please help!!!!! If u or anyone u know has had a dog go through this same scenario and found another option please advise! She is my angel and the last thing I want to do is say my goodbyes!!
Thanks for reading my blog and I hope someone can help us!

do they know what caused it? The problem is at that age most of the long bone growth has been done, if it is dietary you can fix it with fiddling with protein levels otherwise surgery is the only option if it is very severe

The cause is unknown by both vet and specialist! All appears to be guessing game. She appears fine no pain, no change to behavior just became more servre after going away on holidays. Thanks for your help anyway

Will you take her to another vet and specialist for a second opinion? Hope you can get some more information before you have to make a decision.

Have you tried the Yahoo orthodogs group, someone on there may know something about it. Not a nice thing to happen to your dog.
