Wishing you and nugget the best of luck kass, as Mosh said it could be something simple(grass seed even?) or it could be more sinister, no point worrying about it, get the vet to check it out and then go from there.

Fingers and paws crossed it all OK.

When i had Scooby the Ridgeback he developed a extremely large lump on his shoulder. This was very close to the end of his life and i was worried he wouldnt pull through a surgery of any sorts...and i couldnt bring myself to here a vet say that it was a cancer......so i left it.

When he passed away the vet pointed it out and i explained why i didnt do anything.

I'll never forget how bad i felt when he told me it was nothing to worry about and that he could have fixed it easily...and that was just from looking at it.
It grew very quickly and got massive. It never seemed to bother him though.

The only reason i say this Kassy, is to give you some hope that this lump might not be as scary as it seems and i'm wishing you guys all the best at the vets tomorrow.
Hope you can sleep OK tonight mate....

While you're at the vet - get his (or her) email address - so you can email pix like that directly.

I would fight with your mum too if she think that didn't need a vet ASAP. And I would be very tempted to call the vet myself (or the RSPCA). Not calling the vet when the animal clearly needs one - is something the RSPCA can act on. If you want to scare your mum a bit. I know cash is tight but vet bills are part of owning animals.

Sorry Ruby I don't mean to upset you. I can be insensitive sometimes. Nugget will be ok, the vet will probably take a sample and then fix him up.
