    Default Sadly Ive lost Scrappy

Thank you to all the people who spoke to me recently regarding Scrappys arithritis, despite being on pain medication Scrappy did not improve and Wednesday went in for Xrays. It turns out he had cancer of the spine in an un operable and untreatable area and had to be PTS. I can never find the words to convey how shocked and devastated I am he was a little terrier who had a very bad owner for 5 years before he came into my life for 3 and a half wonderful years. I miss him every moment of the day, and so do my other 2 dogs. There are no words I can even think of to describe how sad I feel, I am totally devastated.abba 012.jpg I cant believe he has gone so suddenly at only 8 years old. I will go over from here to the In memorium section.

I wrote in my previous thread that Scrappy was 4, when the vet aged him again this week ( a vet guessed him at that age a long time ago) she said no he was definitely around 8 years old. SO instead of being through 18 months of abuse before me, it turns out he had had 5 years, that would explain why still after 3 years of total love and devotion he was still such a terrified animal : ( : (

Thank you for your kind words Grevillea, at the moment everything is so raw as it was only 2 days ago, but I do get the odd flashes of remembering the funny things he did amongst the pure agony of grieving, Im sure in time the good memories will take over, its just so hard at the moment because everything reminds me of him and I just cant stop crying. Thank you for your kind words

As sad as it is Bella, i'm sure Scrappy was very thanfull for the 3 and half wonderfull years you gave him. You should be proud of that mate. He died knowing what love felt like.
R.I.P little Scrappy and may karma catch up with those who mistreated you.

I say to you the same thing I say to myself.

Give yourself time and try to remember not that he died but that he lived and soon you will be able to remember him not with tears but with a smile.

You cannot erase his past but what you did do was give him a wonderful life while he was with you.

It's never easy letting go. Take care of yourself and your other dogs

I'm so sorry for your loss. And echo what the others have said. You gave Scrappy the love he deserved and a life worth living, even if it was a short one.

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news Bella, but Scrappy was so lucky to have been found by you and given so much love.

Pick a star in the sky tonight and keep it as your Scrappy star, R.I.P. little Scrappy ...
