She is scratching more and chewing at her feet?
The smell is a doggy smell but just seems strong?

The only other thing I can suggest that if it's been more wet than normal where you are it could be a fungal infection on the paws. You could try bathing her paws in apple cider vinegar or Use the Malaseb- Wet paw, massage for 10 minutes, rinse well and dry.

In winter my dog gets washed - hosed down about once a week - or however often we go to the beach. She doesn't pong much - even when she's rolled in something, or maybe I'm losing my sense of smell.

I sometimes wash her with baby shampoo and conditioner. But not more than once a month or if she really does find something stinky dead to roll in.

a bath once a month is plenty. Have you tried coal tar shampoo, great for sensitive, itchy skin.
