Thread: Anyone Used Angel Eyes?

    Question Anyone Used Angel Eyes?

    Hi,

As described in previous threads, my maltese x shih tzu has been getting quite bad tear stains in the last few weeks. the vet checked his eyes and all seems good except he has lazy tear ducts. however, I've been reading up and apparently the reddish-brown stain down his face is caused by red yeast bacteria which sounds quite icky to me. I've tried cleaning his face and keeping him dry but the stains keep coming back.

I've come across this product called Angel Eyes which apparently works wonders for this kind of problem. Has anyone used it? I'm not too good with all the technical terms so not sure if the ingredients are safe etc etc. i absolutely don't want to do anything that would hurt my pup so looking for advice.

here's the website: ANGELS' EYES QUEENSLAND - Angels' Eyes Qld Home Page

    TIA for any feedback!

Sorry Azuresky but I read it does wonder. After a few different brands, as you expected I became sceptical about things. I hope it works (so that I don't have to share mine with Chookie)
I love cooking but I love eating even more.

I read in here somewhere that feeding the dog a very small amount of apple cider vinegar with "mother" ie cloudy stuff you get from health food shop, can help. Dunno about the other stuff.

I don't know about Azuresky, but I used Tear Stain Away on my silky Maltese and it cleared it up in days. I got it from the Rufus and Coco tent at the Sydney pet walk, but I think they have a website?

I have just got it for my poodle, started using it last thursday and already within 5 days I have noticed a difference. I bought mine through amazon.com as it is MUCH cheaper than buying it here in australia.
Only downside is it took 2ish weeks to get here but worth saving $120!
I found 30g angeleyes here in aus for roughly $47
I bought 120g angeleyes from amazon.com for $43 including postage.

Yes I have tried it on two of mine and it works wonders!

It also has the side effect of eliminating bad breath and the discolouration around the mouth (as long as it isn't caused by the dogfood).

I found I don't have to use it for as long as they recommend either.
