bella has fleas, and has red patches near her back end. what should we put on her back end, andd to get rid of the fleas? she is constantly scratching and biting at her back end.

I'd get Bella to the vets. That rear end condition sounds rather nasty.

    try spot-on flea treatment maybe?

    GO TO VET!

wash in Malaseb shampoo to help with the itch!

I saw you said in another thread that you wanted a Border Collie puppy. Sorry for being blunt here, but wouldn't it be better to sort out the one you have before you buy another dog?

I would go to the vet too, then institute a flea program that you stick to. Why was it allowed to get to this stage?

Go to the vet - get a capstar tablet and some ointment for the sores - take all her bedding and wash it. Drop a flea bomb in the house at a time when no living creature is going to be in the house.

Are there other problems with your dog as well?

Yeah someone said capstar, that literally makes the fleas jump off the dog, so give the tab down the back yard not in the house, it works very fast. and your dog may run around like a nutter soon after you give it to her.

Definatly a medicated shampoo wash like maleseb to help clear up the flea bite sores.

I may get jumped on for this, but what the hell ..... I put a cap full of Apple Cider Vinegar in each dog's breakfast as a natural anti-flea treatment & I brush them every day to keep the fur bunnies in the house down. They don't have fleas.
