When I started pet sitting this is what I did:

Listing on Google Maps - They're free and most people google for businesses in their area or services in their area. If you need help with this just ask!

Advertise for free online. PM me and I can email you a list of really great sites that always give me a large number of clients - down side is you do have to renew the ads.

Get a reliable Day per page diary - preferably one of A4 size - Trust me you'll need the room!

Don't worry too much about a website for the moment, let that come along a bit later. I went through vistaprint for mine and I am currently waiting for business cards and fridge magnets to be delivered

Make sure you have an answer to GSDs4Ever's question - this is VITAL to your success, also ask yourself this question: Why should someone choose you over everyone else?

First part sent. Just compiling the list properly and checking all the links are working and all the advertising sites will be on their way!

Now please excuse me while I boot (not literally) my next door neighbours cat out of my house! I love the cat, he's gorgeous, but he comes in, eats Batty's food, then steals my food, and can be an absolute bastard to get rid of! It's getting very wearing - plus all cats are supposed to be contained to their property here and that's definitely not happening grrrrr!!

Have sent you a reply by email, so if you haven't sent the info by PM, can you reply to my email please (easier to store for future ref).

I have a cat (Scout), so understand the grazing situation. Little bugger won't leave my treats alone. The only way I've found to solve the "cat on your property" situation is to get a cat yourself.

Consider it done! Plus links are easier via email!

I wish! Hubby won't allow it at the moment though. After our house is built yes, but for now Batty is all I'm allowed and that was a BIG battle to win, then he met Batty and melted LOL!

Excellent !! A very good start to the day.

I'm not sure if this is correct, but I was told after we got Scout (male) that the females are the "mousers". My last cat (female) certainly kept the vermin at bay & Scout's tally to date is zip. Apparently he's here for his good looks alone.

    Email sent.

Miss Jayne, if you want to, send me a pm and I will email you all of the links too. The best thing about free advertising is that it works! If you're on Facebook, create a Facebook page too. Even if people aren't in your area, the more word of mouth you have the better.

I must be doing something wrong on FB. They gave me free advertising & it went absolutely nowhere. Maybe you could take a look & tell where I'm going wrong.
