Default Winter coat is so beautiful!

I have a medium haired GSD. Who now has his new winter coat.
Twice as thick, which hides his ribs from my fingers, which i love as i feel sorry that he's always so thin.

and his black saddle now covers all his sides, as opposed to a line along the spine summer coat.

Anyone else there have a dog that changes its look completely for winter?

Mojos coat looks beautiful too. It really stands out against the lounge, my bed, my car seats, all my clothes, the lint filter in the dryer and every other area of the house, LOL.

The shedding %#@^&%$# !!!! Even on my keyboard as i type now !!!!!

I do like a big fluffy GSD though. Looks all warm and cosy !!

I can't remember the last time I ate a meal without having to remove winter coat from every few mouthfuls

talking about coats - there are 3 obese huskies in our area - I feel sorry for them they look like 3 ottoman walking, that's how big they are
but anyway they started to shed already - the owner said that it is a good indication of warm summer coming to sydney. Dogs are 10 years old
and owner said every year he can predict the weather because of his dogs.

Dodge's coat only gets a little bit thicker around her neck and down her back, everything else stays thin!
And Koda... WELL.... i absolutely hate his winter coat! its such a hassle to look after! its just soooooo much thicker than his summer one! He looks so much fluffier too! I personally prefer his thinner, swisher summer coat compared to his thick, puffy winter coat

I don't clip Molly in the winter, just her face. So her fur grows out and that's when she really starts to look like a mini sheepdog.

This afternoon i came home from work and she was filthy and had to wash & dry her. Now with her clip it takes me around and 45mins to wash, blow dry and brush. With the longer hair it takes me 2 hours, so needless to say with all the bad weather that comes with winter i am contemplating getting it all shaved off and just cover her with her dog coats.

After years of owning two little dogs that didn't shed a single hair, Ruby has a beautiful shiny coat but sheds a mountain of hair, prairie type fur-balls roll around the walls of the house in the tiled area, hair everywhere and after a bath, dear God, she seems to moult even more, nice soft clean hair ...

Do you have photos Bernie ??

I love my Bears in Winter..so soft and silky LOL but watch out Spring, we get HUGE tumble weeds.
But mine only seem to drop coat twice a year, Spring and Autumn
