    Default Something to Aid Digestion?

Can anyone tell me anything natural that will be good to add to banjos food to help his digestion?
Poor thing always seems to be constipated or have runnys.
He gets holistic select and a bit of loaf everyday as well as a chicken neck, peice of steak or something like it every couple of days.

Maybe cottage cheese or plain yoghurt? I know the raw food diet suggests these to help digestion. I sometimes pop a spoonful in the kibble of a morning, the dogs love it (especially the cheese). And I've heard mashed pumpkin can be good for constipation.

    What Meegs said.

Aslo maybe he's not getting enough fibre - so if he will eat a little bit of raw carrot that might help.

And maybe a little bit of chopped apple.

And when he gets the runs a bit of boiled rice and chicken after a 12 hour fast until it gets better.

I'd seriously think about changing to something else or reviewing the quantity as that diet doesn't seem to agree with him.

Frosty would get constipated if she got raw bones, cos bits would get stuck on the way through and clag everything up. I also found that the dry food was no good when I switched to another brand and she hasn't had the runs since.

It may be that he is allegic or sensitive to one of the ingredients in the dry or loaf. Or he may even be allergic to the chicken / steak. You will just need to cut one thing out for a week and see if things get better or stay the same. When you do change the kibble, remember to change only 1/4 per day not all at once. Look for something with different ingredients. Shouldn't be too hard.

Hi, a small amount (a teaspoon) of boiled pumpkin a day is good for the runnies or constipation. Had success with that when our boy was on a fresh diet and had same problem. Eventually we switched him to a kibble. I use Royal Canin Intestinal, it works well for us.
