    Default Chicken Necks

bought a big bag for banjo. split them up into little frezzer bags of about 3 each (ended up with about 10bags) and popped them in the freezer.
What i am wondering is how often I should give him one? (he gets dry food as well) would one a day be to much? should I make it every second day?
(most probably know by now he si just a little dog- see below pic!)

I feed mine some raw every day, sometimes wings or necks, lamb or beef bones, minced chicken carcass etc. Whatever I have on hand. My 3 dogs have their own freezer shelf.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.

I think they're reasonably fatty but dogs need more fat in their diet than we do (I read somewhere!) My mid-size dogs get 3-4 each for breakfast or dinner a couple of times a week and they're far from overweight. I don't think one a day is too much but I guess it depends what else you're feeding him.

I feed my SBT about 10 necks per week, i feed as a treat. In summer i feed the chook necks frozen, not that it takes much time for my boy to scoff them down either way ..

Ive lost count to the amoutn of times ive bought those 1.25 kg trays and gave it to him as a snack... i think i feed him to much .

It's funny watching him eat wings, im sure he knows he could just plow through one with his jaws, but he still picks at it and sucks on them...

I give my three one chicken neck each everyday at lunch time.

Reasons being they get dry food for breakie and dinner with a little bit of wet food.

I count the chicken neck as their 'lunch'.

I don't let my dog have any bones, except the very occasional marrow bone, closely supervised. I take it away as soon as she starts breaking up the shaft of it, because she makes big sharp splinters and then swallows those and they come back to haunt us at both ends at unpleasantly uncomfortable times of the night when I'd rather be sleeping and so would she.

Raw chicken wing has come back to haunt us too. Not much point in giving her any if she's just going to upchuck it later.

I think if your dog is ok with them, you include it as part of the diet and reduce the amount of kibble from the recommended amount - if your dog's waist starts to disappear, it's too much of something.
