    Default Drinking Water Additive

Hi everyone, i am new to the forum, and hope you can help with this question. I have a 2yr old apricot minature poodle. His teeth are perfect, however have been advised to use Aquadent in the drinking water. Problem is i've had different advise from 3 vets. One says offer fresh water at the same time, the other don't offer fresh water. Yet a third says don't use at all, raw bones are adequate. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks

I would not use at all.

Many vets differ in their opinions at times, just like the rest of us.

Why use an additive when there isn't a problem? o.O

Thanks for the replies re drinking water additive. The general consensus seems to be not to use it. The vets were pushing the preventative angle. In years past all my pals lived long healthy lives and didn't have anything but bones to clean the teeth. Just wanting to make sure i was doing the best for my lovely boy.

Vets push products they sell. I wouldn't use one, all my dogs in 53 years have always had great teeth without a water additive.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.

    Hi..
I think you should opt for fresh water only..The poodle is 2 yrs old only..If you feel the need you can use Aquadent occasionally like once in a month like that...
