    Question Grapes

Is it ok to feed a dog grapes?
My girls were eating them and gave one to Kimba and she ate it. I called her over and she will beg for one like its a treat.
I've never heard of dogs eating them before.

Yep its fine, as long as you dont feed them heaps and heaps as it may upset their stomach but a few is fine.

My vet told me never to feed dogs grapes, raisins or sultanas as relatively small amounts can cause kidney failure, especially in small dogs.

I received the same info as sandyb. The dog is never to have grapes or onions.

First theres no grapes, now theres no Beer ? What has the world come to? lol

I have stopped giving her grapes, she still gets the occasional one from the girls but I have been telling them not to feed her, I feel bad now because she sits there begging for them...

I have also heard grapes are bad for dogs, similar to onion and chocolate..

I had not heard of beer though

I have never given my dogs beer although our Kelpie Bella has a reputation of sneaking off to the vege garden for 'happy hour' on the odd occasion.

I use a small container with a little bit of beer in it for the snails.

Must be pretty bad to be a dog with out those two things. Better tell Tony no more going to the pub!

well our vet was telling us of this dog owner who would have a couple of beers when he got home from work. When he had one, he would give 1 to his dog. The poor dog had to be put down as it had liver failure.

We are at the pet expo a few months back in Sydney and they were actually selling dog beer. I dont remember the name of the brand, although if you do a search im sure you will find it.

oh and onions was the other one I missed - thanks Billy for reminding me
